✅ Test passed

@sevagjb: this pull request adds the AppImage from your GitHub repository to the AppImage catalog; the test reports the following. Could you have a look?

Please check that the screenshot shows the application's main window.

PrintView3D

PrintView3D

Tested:

Compatibility: not self-contained: uses the C library of the system; references glibc 2.35

Warnings:

  • The window is mostly dark, so the application seems to start in a dark theme although the test system is not set to dark mode. Please use a light mode by default and use the dark theme only when the system is configured for dark mode (e.g. the GTK/Qt or theme setting) or the user chooses it in the settings.
  • The AppImage contains no update information, so users cannot update it with AppImageUpdate or similar tools. Please consider embedding it when building the AppImage (e.g., appimagetool -u) and publishing the .zsync file next to the AppImage; see https://docs.appimage.org/packaging-guide/optional/updates.html

Thanks for adding PrintView3D and for the detailed test report!
I’ve released v0.21.2, which addresses everything the test reported:

  • Screenshot: the image showed a one-time “star on GitHub” message that appeared on the first start, not the main window. The first start now shows only the main window. That message, and the question about update checks, now come on later starts.
  • Dark theme: the default theme follows the system. On Linux, PrintView3D now also reads the GNOME, GTK and KDE settings when Qt can’t detect the colour scheme, and starts in light mode unless the desktop is set to dark.
  • Update information: the AppImage now includes update information (gh-releases-zsync|sevagjb|PrintView3D|latest|PrintView3D-x86_64.AppImage.zsync), and every release publishes PrintView3D-x86_64.AppImage.zsync next to the AppImage, so AppImageUpdate works.

I tested it by starting the new AppImage under Xvfb with an empty home folder: it opens straight to the light main window.
Could you please re-run the test so the catalog gets the new screenshot? Thanks!

Thanks for re-running the test! v0.21.2 shows the main window now and the warnings are resolved. Ready to merge from my side.
