Version: Deno 2.9.5
Issue:
laufey_webview.exe doesn't stop when a deno application built from source is stopped on Windows 11, causing subsequent runs to fail, because it locks access to the compiled cached files in AppData.
Steps to Reproduce
- be on a plain Windows 11 installation
- create a folder, e.g. named "test"
- create a file called "main.ts" in "test"
- add the line
console.log("test"); in the file
- navigate into the folder in powershell
- run
deno run main.ts
- stop the application via
CTRL+C after you see the log message in powershell, since there is no other means to do so
- run
deno dektop --hmr again, notice you will get an access denied error when deno tries to access the .dll file it created during the initial run in AppData
- kill the
laufey_webview process, e.g. via Taskmanager
- run
deno run main.ts again, notice how it runs properly again
The same behavior can be observed by using https://github.com/bartlomieju/denidian and it's intended launch commands from source instead of our own minimal reproduction.
