…al values The parameters section and two docstrings said the engine binds the first of two values for one ?, drops the second and binds null for a missing value. That held up to 26.10.x; ArcadeData/arcadedb#10798 (26.11.1) refuses both too many and too few values with an error naming both counts (verified on f8ae3a8e7f: ArcadeData/arcadedb#10721). The bindings' TypeError check stays: it fails earlier, names the fix and covers builds on an older engine. Closes #108 Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

Closes #108
The parameters section of the queries guide, the
_params.pymodule docstring and thetest_positional_count.pyheader described the engine of 26.10.x: it bound the first of two values for one?, dropped the second without a word, and bound null for a missing value. ArcadeData/arcadedb#10798, in 26.11.1, makes the engine refuse a mismatched count of positional values, too many or too few, with an error that names both counts. Verified onf8ae3a8e7fon JDK 21 and 25 (ArcadeData/arcadedb#10721).What changes: text only.
TypeErrorbefore the call and the engine refuses it too since 26.11.1; older engines dropped the value. The missing-value case says 26.11.1 refuses it with anArcadeDBErrorwrappingCommandSQLParsingException(older engines bound null), tells the reader to passNonefor a placeholder meant as null, and says the async executor's error now reaches the error callback._params.pyandtest_positional_count.py: the same facts in their docstrings, and why the bindings' check stays. What does not change:
refuse_surplus_positionalsand every call path. The check still fails earlier with a message that names the fix ([[a, b]]or a named parameter), and it covers a build linked to an older engine.pre-commit run --fileson the three files passes (black, isort, the old package name check).🤖 Generated with Claude Code
