Pins every third-party action and reusable workflow in
.github/to a full commit SHA. Each pin keeps a# vX.Y.Zcomment naming the most specific tag at that commit. No behavior change. Each SHA is the commit the floating tag (
@v5,@v15, ...) points to today. This diff only stops those tags from moving under us.Why: a tag like
@v15can be repointed by its owner at any time, or by anyone who compromises their account. These workflows run with npm/PyPI/GPG/GitHub-App secrets.Speakeasy:
speakeasy-api/sdk-generation-action@v15is now pinned to68f3bfefb79354d39358bf4699863dabd2cea0f6(v15.60.11). Inside, its reusable workflows check out the action itself at a fixed SHA (fa50f4813201c6f919c74c25196b17c070ec4ac1), so pinning the caller ref locks the whole chain.Keeping pins current: Dependabot (
package-ecosystem: github-actions) understands SHA pins with version comments and will bump both.Only
uses:lines change; checked withgit diff | grep '^[-+] ' | grep -v uses:(empty). The pinning script resolved each ref withgit ls-remoteagainst the action repo.🤖 Generated with Claude Code
