Summary

Implements Stage 5: Internship Management MVP (Milestone 4) to facilitate structured 4–12 week engineering fellowships backed by verified deliverables, milestone tracking, weekly work logs, mentor evaluations, and offer letter generation.

Architectural Invariants & Key Changes

1. Database Schema & Migrations (drizzle/0008_internship_management.sql):

   • internship_programs: Fellowship definitions, tracks (systems, web_fullstack, devops_infra, developer_experience), duration, prerequisites, and learning outcomes.
   • cohorts: Cohort grouping, capacity, start/end dates, and status.
   • internship_applications: Student applications, statements, availability hours, and review audit trail.
   • internship_enrollments: Active participant enrollment, mentor assignment, offer letter ID, and verification hash.
   • internship_milestones: Bi-weekly milestone deliverables and deadlines.
   • internship_work_logs: Weekly progress logs with verified GitHub PR URLs, hours spent, and mentor feedback.
   • internship_evaluations: Mentor evaluations across 5 structured rubric dimensions (Code Quality, Collaboration, Punctuality, Documentation, Initiative).

2. Offer Letter Generation & Cryptographic Verification (src/lib/internships/offer-letter.ts):

   • Generates deterministic SHA-256 verification hashes over canonical fellowship terms.
   • Embeds immutable terms of fellowship, open-source licensing requirements, and mentor attribution.

3. Domain Service (src/lib/internships/service.ts):

   • Pilot program and cohort seeding (seedPilotInternships).
   • Program listing and detail retrieval (listInternshipPrograms).
   • Application submission with strict validation (applyForInternship).
   • Application review and automated offer letter issuance (reviewApplication).
   • Weekly work log submission and GitHub PR URL format validation (submitWorkLog).
   • Rubric-based mentor evaluation and completion marking (evaluateInternship).
   • Contributor portal data retrieval (getInternshipPortalData).

• Test Suite: 104/104 tests passing across 23 test files (npm test).
