Description

Fixes VAP15-79. Corrects the "Confirming a withheld send in your logs" section added in VAP15-53 (fern/server-url/server-authentication.mdx).

  • Replace "once per message type, not once per send": the announce path has no dedupe, so the entry is written on each send of a non-suppressed message type and can repeat within a call.
  • Tell readers to search the call log for the text credentials withheld instead of implying a webhook category filter. The UserLoggerV2 copy (VAPSEC-756) is filed under serverMessage, which the dashboard Category filter doesn't offer. The V1 copy has the same text, so this holds whether or not VAPSEC-756 has deployed.
  • Put the example log line on one line to match the real entry, so it can be copied into a search.
  • Unchanged: suppressed-types list and the "a missing entry does not mean credentials were sent" warning.
  • Intentionally not named on the page: the serverMessage category / serverMessage.credentialsWithheld event, until VapiAI/vapi#22109 (VAPICS-1494) lands.

Merge gate: before the VAPSEC-564 enable on 2026-10-14.

Testing Steps

  • fern check: 0 errors (12 warnings, all pre-existing OpenAPI discriminator warnings)
  • Log line text matches staging output: Assistant credentials withheld from end-of-call-report: this server url came from an assistant this request supplied, not from your org configuration
  • Run the app locally using fern docs dev or navigate to preview deployment
  • Ensure that the changed pages and code snippets work

- The entry is written on each send of a non-suppressed message type,
so it can repeat within a call (no dedupe in the announce path).
- Tell readers to search the call log for "credentials withheld"
instead of implying a webhook category filter.
- Put the example log line on one line to match the real entry.

Two small editorial suggestions: name the Logs tab and Webhook category in the search instruction, and split the recurrence sentence for readability.
