docs: make cloud environment files a practical workflow - #26393
Merged

Conversation
The cloud example demonstrated a variable without showing how to work on a project or explaining remote filesystem behavior upfront. Move the walkthrough into the cloud section, cover project transfer and retrieval, and explain credentials, expiration, and configuration limits. Preserve the existing entry anchor and update cloud cross-references.

Cloud sandboxes do not mount the host project, so keeping the environment file in a separate parent directory provides no protection benefit. Put the example file in the project root, explain that its location is optional, and copy the current project into the sandbox with results retrieved to a sibling directory.
The walkthrough only showed copying results and did not explain when to configure GitHub access. The adaptation guidance also mixed unrelated checks in one section. Add optional GitHub credential setup before creation and an agent push workflow with local branch retrieval. Organize adaptation guidance under headings for settings, host commands, credentials, and updates.
The host command guidance only contrasted local and remote dependency installation without showing a useful cloud workflow. Add a postCreate upload example and explain host preparation, result retrieval, lifecycle timing, and the limits of cleanup hooks.
Replace the list of host command uses with an explanation of how lifecycle commands make workflows spanning the host and cloud repeatable.
Move the postCreate upload example beside the manual transfer step so readers see how one command can provision and prepare a sandbox. Keep broader lifecycle guidance later and link to it from the example.
The automated upload example understated file selection, working directory assumptions, and what happens if the postCreate command fails. Explain ignored files, staging directories, reproducible Git inputs, and one-time upload behavior. Document the existing-sandbox recovery path after an upload failure.

Summary
The cloud environment example didn't show how to work on a project, and readers had to reach later subsections to discover the differences from local sandboxes. Move the walkthrough into the cloud section, explain those differences upfront, and show how to create an environment, copy in a project, work with Claude Code, retrieve changes, and clean up.
Cover cloud credentials, expiration, unsupported settings, and reuse limitations. Preserve the original entry anchor and update cloud cross-references. Behavior checked against docker/sandboxes release/v0.49 at c5b19951af12; scoped Markdown and Vale checks, Hugo build, and rendered internal link checks passed. No live cloud session was run.
