The plan checks API reference page loads, API 404s, and client errors on those pages. An issue escalates when API page loads fall or those 404s or errors rise. The SCHEMA tab on dropped-events pages should show a new suppressedDrops field. Monitoring in Services: Mention PlanWhat changedAPI reference pages rebuild from OpenAPI schema 9f048abe. The SCHEMA tab on dropped-events pages then lists required suppressedDrops next to droppedEvents. sentry-docs must deploy to production before this is live. Vercel also builds develop-docs from this SHA. That site does not generate API schema pages. RiskA broken schema can omit API pages from the static build. Readers then get 404s under /api/. A SCHEMA tab render fault can throw client errors on dropped-events pages. Other API pages share the same build. Intended effectThe new behavior is suppressedDrops in the SCHEMA JSON on dropped-events API pages. Sentry has no metric for that text. Page loads for api_endpoint query-dropped-and-accepted-events-stats-by-outcome-and-reason cannot confirm the field. That volume is too low.
Regression watchThis schema rebuild can 404 API pages or throw on the SCHEMA tab. Watch all API reference pages, not only dropped-events. The rate may vary by day.
These error counts are small. Last 24h titles were Algolia and shopimgs fetch failures. A new TypeError on API pages is a regression even if the rate stays in band. Not observableSentry does not record SCHEMA tab text. The executor cannot confirm suppressedDrops from metrics. Pageload and navigation spans for transaction /api/ returned no rows. API page latency is unknown. The prior 24h count for api_category explore page loads was not measured. The prior 24h count for API 404s was not measured. |
