Combines the dependency updates from #726 and #727 into this PR so all
three can land in a single merge.

- golang.org/x/term 0.46.0 -> 0.47.0 (#726)
- github.com/prometheus/client_golang 1.24.1 -> 1.25.0 (#727)

golang.org/x/text 0.42.0 -> 0.43.0 was already in this PR.

Indirect dependencies resolve to the union of the three updates:
x/sys 0.49.0, x/crypto 0.57.0, x/net 0.59.0, protobuf 1.36.12,
prometheus/client_model 0.6.3, prometheus/common 0.72.0,
prometheus/procfs 0.22.0.

Superseded by #725, which now carries this bump as well, so all three open dependency PRs can land in a single merge.

golang.org/x/term 0.46.0 → 0.47.0 (and the accompanying golang.org/x/sys 0.48.0 → 0.49.0) are included there verbatim — the combined go.mod resolves every shared dependency to the highest version across #725, #726 and #727, so nothing from this PR is dropped.

Verified on the combined branch with make check in the Go 1.27.2 builder image: gofmt, vet, staticcheck, license headers, golangci-lint (0 issues), govulncheck (0 affecting vulnerabilities), and all 12 test packages passing.

This PR can be closed once #725 merges.

OK, I won't notify you again about this release, but will get in touch when a new version is available. If you'd rather skip all updates until the next major or minor version, let me know by commenting @dependabot ignore this major version or @dependabot ignore this minor version. You can also ignore all major, minor, or patch releases for a dependency by adding an ignore condition with the desired update_types to your config file.

If you change your mind, just re-open this PR and I'll resolve any conflicts on it.
