LLM Review

Risk: 🟢 LOW

Updates the cupcake ECS service in-place and replaces its task definition to add a busybox init container that sets /tmp permissions, with no network, IAM, or database changes.

  • ✅ [routine] aws_ecs_task_definition.this is force-replaced (new revision 5 replaces revision 4). Because the ECS service references the task definition, the service will roll to the new revision. This is an expected consequence of the container definition change, not data loss.
  • ✅ [routine] New essential=false init container 'platform_tmp_init' (busybox pinned by digest) runs 'chmod 1777 /tmp' on a shared 'tmp' volume, with readonlyRootFilesystem=true and user 0. The main container 'cupcake' gets dependsOn SUCCESS on this init container, so it starts only after /tmp is prepared. Runs as root, but only for a short-lived init step and is pinned by digest, which is acceptable.
  • ✅ [routine] Main container port mapping changes: hostPort 3000 is removed. Under awsvpc networking hostPort is typically ignored, but confirm the service uses awsvpc mode, otherwise the port mapping change could affect traffic.
  • ✅ [routine] ECS service health_check_grace_period_seconds changes from 0 to 120, giving tasks time to start before health checks count against them. Also adds the javabin:desired-count tag. Both are low risk.
  • 💰 [cost] The init container and the new log group stream usage are negligible. No new NAT gateways, load balancers, or databases are created.
