Core 7.6.1 lays out only the part of a long view near the viewport, loads linked images near the viewport, falls back to a generic font family, computes more formulas on save, and embeds the formula module in the Android AAR.

Changes

  • odrCore is 7.6.1. The commit for 7.6.0 stays in the history.
  • Pro takes a typed formula in a sheet. The page computes the formula cells as the user edits, with the formula module that 7.6.1 embeds (core #1276).
  • Lite: the sheet page refuses a typed formula with outOfScope under the paragraph scope. The app offers Pro with the sheet offer, which now names formulas. The changed offer loses its old translations.
  • The page refuses a formula that does not parse with formulaInvalid, and an edit in the range of an array formula with array. The app shows a message for each.
  • CHANGELOG entries for what the app takes from core.

Stack

Merge these with this PR. Each one is based on this branch:

Testing

  • assembleProDebug assembleLiteDebug testProDebugUnitTest pass.
  • I tested on the Pixel_6_Pro emulator (Android 12, WebView Chrome 91). See the stacked PRs.

7.6.1

7.6.1 also fixes two problems that I found on Chrome 91 with 7.6.0 (core #1277): odr.search ran out of memory on a text file of 200k lines, and a hidden chunk had a height of 0. The 7.6.1 AAR is not on Maven Central yet, so CI fails until it is. I test the stack again on the emulator when it is.

Core 7.6 lays out only the part of a long view near the viewport, loads
linked images near the viewport, falls back to a generic font family, and
computes more formulas on save.

- The sheet page refuses a typed formula with outOfScope under the
paragraph scope. No edition computes a typed formula, because the core
AAR carries no formula module. So Lite shows the formula message for
it on a sheet, and does not offer Pro.
- The page refuses an edit in the range of an array formula with array.
The app shows a message for it.

Core 7.6.1 embeds the formula module in the Android AAR. So an
editable sheet page computes its formula cells as the user edits, and
takes a typed formula.

- Lite refuses a typed formula with outOfScope, as before 7.6.1. It
offers Pro with the sheet offer now, and that offer names formulas.
The changed offer loses its old translations.
- The page refuses a formula that does not parse with formulaInvalid.
The app shows a message for it.

7.6.1 also fixes two problems of 7.6.0 on an old WebView: a search
of a large text file ran out of memory, and a part far from the
viewport had a height of 0.
